Jesús Zambrano
A former student of the National Conservatory of Music in Lima, he is a Peruvian musician with a dual specialization in Choral Conducting and Classical Singing. Based in France since 2015, he continues to refine his skills at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, studying Orchestral Conducting under Dominique Rouits and Classical Singing with Caroline Dumas.
An intense musical activity since the age of 14 has enabled him to be part of numerous vocal ensembles and to participate successfully in various recordings, competitions, and international festivals across the Americas, Europe, and Africa.
As a soloist (initially as a countertenor, later as a lyric tenor) and as a choir and orchestra conductor, he has had the opportunity to perform in prestigious concert halls, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (2004), the Municipal Theatre of Lima, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and the Regentenbau Hall in Bad Kissingen, Germany.
Currently, he directs several ensembles in France and diversifies his activities within JZ Cie, his production company. Noteworthy projects include a variety of concerts, workshops, master classes, and the inaugural edition of the Autumn Choral Festival in Poissy in October 2024.
