Anna Hetmanova

Born in Minsk, Belarus, she began her piano studies at the age of five, first at the city’s Music Lyceum and later at the State Academy of Higher Music, from which she graduated with honors in solo piano, pedagogy, chamber music, and accompaniment.
Thanks to the breadth of her musical skills, and as part of a duo with A. Pozdniakova, she was awarded a UNESCO scholarship for young artists, enabling her to undertake a residency in France with Victor Eresko.

Anna has distinguished herself by winning numerous prizes at competitions across Europe, including the F. Schubert International Competition in Czechoslovakia, the International Chamber Music Competition in Caltanissetta, Italy, the International Competition in San Sebastian, Spain, the International Music Tournament in the “Piano Duo” category in France, and the Brest Piano Competition.

She has refined her artistry under the guidance of Daria Hovora and Christian Ivaldi, and has also benefited from the advice of Dmitrii Bashkirov, Mikhail Voskresensky, and Noël Lee.

Her passion for early music led her to explore period instruments, which brought her to study with Patrick Cohen and Kenneth Weiss at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), where she obtained her Master’s degree in fortepiano.

In addition to her solo activities, Anna Hetmanova collaborates with internationally renowned artists.

Her extensive repertoire enables her to perform solo and duo recitals as well as concertos with orchestra in some of the most prestigious venues in France and abroad: the Cité de la Musique, the Royal Opera of Versailles, the Opéra de Metz, the Opéra de Massy, the Théâtre Mogador and the Musée Jacquemart-André in Paris, the Royaumont Abbey, the Palais des Fêtes in Strasbourg, the Belarus State Philharmonic, the Municipal Theatre of Colmar, the San Sebastian Kursaal, the Teatro Margherita in Caltanissetta, among others.

Anna has appeared at festivals such as Radio Classique in Saint-Malo, Un été en Gascogne with Eve Ruggieri, Liszt en Provence, “Jeunes talents” in Villers-sur-Mer, Duettissimo in Belarus, and more.
