The third edition of the JZ Summer Workshop in Giverny opens the doors to a unique vocal immersion, at the crossroads between solo singing and ensemble work, set in the lush surroundings of La Loreda in Limetz-Villez, just a short walk from Monet’s gardens. From Monday, July 27 to Thursday, July 30, 2026, this program limited to six singers, offers a harmonious alternation of individual lessons, sessions with a vocal coach, and ensemble work, bringing together high artistic standards and the joy of sharing music. Designed for amateur singers (choral or not) as well as those on the path to professionalization, it is aimed at anyone wishing to explore their voice more deeply, strengthen their stage presence, and unlock an often unsuspected inner boldness.
Each day unfolds as a true vocal journey: personalized work with the voice teacher, piano coaching for interpretation, followed by master classes and ensemble rehearsals on selected pieces provided by the organization. This step-by-step process anchors technical progress in a living musical practice, while cultivating mutual listening and stylistic precision within the group. Participants benefit from one-on-one coaching tailored to their vocal range, interpretation sessions to refine style and diction, and liberating stage work, conceived as a supportive laboratory where mistakes become a source of discovery, leading up to a final recital open to the public, at which we will have the honor of welcoming guest soloist Jodie Hugues.
At the heart of the program is Jesús Zambrano, a former student of the National Conservatory of Music in Lima in classical voice and choral conducting, and later of the École Normale de Musique de Paris in orchestral conducting and voice, who serves as artistic director and voice teacher. He performs as a soloist in renowned venues across Europe and the Americas, and pursues an active career as conductor and educator, notably through JZ Cie, his own production company dedicated to concerts, master classes, and socio-cultural projects.
He is joined by two exceptional artistic partners. Pianist, collaborative artist, and pedagogue, Bilel Alibert brings his experience to support singers in deepening their musical and textual understanding of the repertoire and in shaping an interpretation that is both coherent and sensitive. Actor and stage director Paul Mauch, originally from Córdoba, Argentina, enriches the stage work with his international experience in theater and film, as well as his practice of clowning, neutral mask, and commedia dell’arte, guiding each participant toward a freer, more embodied, and confident presence on stage.
